PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
Magical Realism Mashups:
exploring communication through music, poetry, art and drama
Thur., Oct. 18, 4:00-8:00pm
$15 (includes dinner and all materials)

The workshop will begin by exploring how teachers can use simple melody and percussion with their students to explore modes of communication.

Drawing upon the Latin American literary mode of magical realism, teachers will also participate in hands-on language arts, visual arts and drama activities to deepen imagination and self-expression in the classroom.

This Professional Development Workshop will provide 4 CPDU credits and tools to help teachers prepare their students for a field trip to see Six Stories Tall.
