The Storytelling workshop series!

A year long Professional Development Course in the art of storytelling. Designed for teachers who would like to use a variety of storytelling techniques in the classroom. Not just for CPS teachers, non-CPS teachers are also welcome to join us!

  • Participants meet once a month, starting in October
  • All sessions are taught by professional storytellers
  • Meetings occur Wednesdays, after-school from 6:00-8:00pm - specific dates for 2010-11 are 10/27, 11/10, 12/15, 1/26, 2/16, 3/9, 4/13 with a Culminating Event, which will take place on 5/18
  • Interactive sessions will involve teachers telling stories to their peers
  • Each session will include a classroom assignment geared towards bringing storytelling to your classroom
  • 14 CPDU Credits are available, as well as resource materials

  • History
  • Literature
