The Giver Special Events

OPENING DAY RECEPTION: MEET AUTHOR LOIS LOWRY
Saturday, March 24th, 4:00-8:00pm
We had a fabulous opening day for The Giver and were thrilled to welcome back the book's author, Lois Lowry, to our Adventure Stage! Ms. Lowry participated in a post-show audience discussion and book signing. With cupcakes on hand from Kyle's Cupcakery, it was a fun and delicious way to spend a Saturday. SETTLEMENT SATURDAY
Saturday, March 31st, 4:00-8:00pm
Settlement Saturday is a day to celebrate our parent organization, the Northwestern University Settlement House, as well as the Settlement's neighbors. The Giver Settlement Saturday was a huge success. The performance was summarized in Spanish, and the pre- and post-show discussion was conducted in both Spanish and English. The performance was followed by a food and game reception in Burnside Hall for all audience members. Look for the Settlement Saturday performance for our next production, and we hope you can join us!
