School Groups

Every year, Adventure Stage Chicago produces a season of mainstage productions recommended for young people ages 9-14. While these performances are open to the public on weekends, during the week we perform for large school audiences. During our 2008-2009 season alone, over 8,000 students from Chicago-area schools visited our space.

ADVENTURE STAGE CHICAGO PERFORMANCES AT VITTUM THEATER

Weekday matinees begin promptly at 10:30 a.m., run approximately 90 minutes, and conclude with a 15-minute post-show discussion with the actors. Each preparing teacher receives a free Learning Guide. This educator’s text includes themes, questions, vocabulary, classroom activities, recommended resources, and an introduction to our space, cast, and production team. These productions are recommended for intermediate and upper elementary grades.

"Wow!"

“We saw the performance on Tuesday.  They were still talking about it on Wednesday without me bringing it up.  Wow!  It was Wednesday lunch table discussion!”
