Teacher Workshops!

ASC’s Professional Development Workshops provide teachers with student-centered, arts-integrated activities to use in guiding students to a deeper understanding of the themes inspired by our productions. These activities connect our productions to various ISBE goals and standards and are immediately applicable in the classroom. CPDU credits are provided. These workshops are $15 and space is very limited. Please call in advance to register.

Scallywags; exploring destiny, trust, friendship on the High Seas

Friday, April 9, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM

At this workshop participants will be treated to a preview performance of the play and a post-show discussion with the actors and musicians.  Teachers will also engage in hands-on activities inspired by themes of the play and designed to explore how they can create meaningful interactive lessons that will make a work of literature or theater come alive for their students.  

Our Professional Development Workshops will provide CPDU credits and tools to help teachers prepare their students for a fieldtrip to see the show.

The Workshop costs $15, which includes lunch and a ticket to the preview. Please call to reserve.
