Family Workshop Saturday Series

NEW for 2010-2011!

In these engaging workshops, kids and their parents will learn side-by-side exciting new theatre skills, including juggling, stilt-walking, storytelling, stage combat and more! With demonstrations and step-by-step guidance by leading Chicago theatre professionals; families will work together to learn a new skill while having a blast! Kids must be eight years of age or older and accompanied by at least one adult. All family members are encouraged to participate.

Juggling Workshop - SOLD OUT - SOLD OUT - SOLD OUT

Saturday, May 21st, 11:00am - 12:30pm
Learn the essential clowning skill of juggling! Working with professional jugglers, families will try their hand at juggling scarves and balls.  *This workshop is followed by a 2:00pm performance of 500 Clown Trapped. Families are encouraged to grab lunch and return for the show!

Stilt-Walking and Balance Workshop
Saturday, July 23rd, 11:00am - 12:30pm
Learn how to perfect the balance and poise necessary to defeat gravity and walk on stilts. In addition, families will learn various games and exercises to develop teamwork, balance and trust.

Workshops are open to families with kids ages 8 and up and take place at the Vittum Theater.
Price is $10 per person or $8 per person for ASC Passport Holders.
