Family Theatre Jams

Family Theater Jams is a program that your entire family can participate in together. All ages are welcome. Come play with us!

Four times a year, during an eight-week session that meets once a week, families work with Adventure Stage Chicago teaching artists and ensemble members to play theater games and share stories that reflect the community in which we live. At the end of each eight-week session, the group publicly shares the work they have been doing as well as a potluck meal.

Participants in the program build self-confidence as they learn to express themselves through the performing arts. Families and neighbors connect inter-personally and inter-generationally on a deeper and more meaningful level through play. As the program progresses, it is the hope of Adventure Stage Chicago that neighbor allies will emerge who will act as collaborators for future projects at Northwestern Settlement.

Both Spanish & English speakers encouraged to attend. Snacks will be provided. No theater experience necessary! Click here for a flyer about the program in both English and Spanish.
