Internships

Now Accepting Winter Education and Artistic Internship Applications!

ASC is seeking qualified college undergraduates, graduate or recently graduated students in the performing arts, arts education or arts administration fields. Internships are customized for each participant (length of internship, dates, times, etc.) and may include a combination of duties in the areas of Artistic, Education, Production and Administration. At the present time, Adventure Stage Chicago is unable to offer housing to our interns. Interested applicants should consider this before applying. Deadlines are listed below and applications that arrive after the deadline will not be considered. All applicants should respond by e-mail with a cover letter and resume to the appropriate staff member below. No phone calls please!

In addition summer interns assist teaching artists with summer camps. Education interns will also have the opportunity to complete their own personal projects crafted with the Director of Education based on their goals. Internships are available for the spring, summer, winter, and fall sessions. Education Internships are 10-12 weeks long, 16-20 hrs per week.

Artistic Internships

Artistic interns will work with the Producing Artistic Director and/or Associate Artistic Director in a number of areas including literary management, new play development, rehearsal and workshop prep, community outreach and ongoing audience engagement. Interns should bear in mind that, at present, ASC only mounts two productions annually (Fall/Spring) and those quarters merit the greatest need. However, internships are available for the spring, summer, winter, and fall sessions (see dates above). Artistic internships are 10 weeks, up to 20 hrs per week.

If you are interested in an artistic internship, please send your cover letter and resume to Tom Arvetis at tom@adventurestage.org.
