The Storytelling workshop series!

A year long Professional Development Course in the art of storytelling. Designed for teachers who would like to use a variety of storytelling techniques in the classroom. Not just for CPS teachers, non-CPS teachers are also welcome to join us!

  • Participants meet once a month, starting in October
  • There is a stipend available for the first 10 registered teachers
  • Meetings occur Wednesdays, after-school from 4:00 - 6:30 - specific dates for 2009-2010 will be 10/7, 11/4, 12/9, 1/13, 2/10, 3/10, 4/14 with the Culminating Event will take place on 5/12
  • Interactive sessions will involve teachers telling stories to their peers
  • Each session will include a classroom assignment geared towards bringing storytelling to your classroom

  • Folktales
  • History
  • Literature
