Theatre Adventure Camp 2009

Next summer, we will once again host our Theater Adventure Camp. The schedule is being worked out now, and we will post information as soon as it is available. Classes will be open to kids ages 8-14 and will meet five days a week for two weeks finishing with a performance for family and friends.

We will be offering two different sessions:

tools for the journey:

This class will introduce young people to the exciting world of acting with a focus on exploring an actor's basic tools: body, voice, and imagination. Through physical activity and improvisation, young people will learn to work together as an ensemble.

Story explorers:

In this class young people will be challenged to explore language and storytelling through select monologues and
scenes from popular plays for youth.

Both groups will then come together for a performance for family and friends on the ASC stage! The show will take place at the end of the two week session.

tuition:

$225 per session or $400 for both sessions
Tuition is refundable (minus a $25.00 processing fee) if cancellation is received in writing by July 2, 2008. We reserve the right to cancel any session if enrollment is under 10 students - full refunds will be given if that decision is made.

registration:

Registration will begin in the spring of 2009
